End User License Agreement

License terms for installing and using PDF-MD.

License grant

After purchase and activation, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use PDF-MD for lawful personal or internal purposes.

Scope

Unless checkout terms say otherwise, the standard personal license allows one purchaser to use PDF-MD on up to two Macs owned or controlled by that purchaser.

Restrictions

You may not resell, sublicense, lease, rent, commercially host, redistribute, modify, bypass activation for, or reverse engineer PDF-MD except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Ownership

PDF-MD, including the app, name, interface, design, code, documentation, workflows, graphics, icons, and branding, is owned by the publisher or its licensors. This agreement does not transfer ownership to you.

Documents and output

You retain ownership of your documents and exported Markdown files. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to process files through the app and for reviewing output before relying on it.

Third-party software

Some workflows may require or benefit from third-party software such as LibreOffice or MarkEdit. Those tools are governed by their own licenses and may change independently of PDF-MD.

Warranty and change risk

PDF-MD is provided as is. OCR, extraction, Markdown reconstruction, LaTeX normalization, supported formats, and external-tool compatibility may be incomplete or incorrect and may change over time.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount paid for PDF-MD in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost data, inaccurate output, or consequences from failing to review exported content.

Termination

Your license may terminate if you breach these terms, violate licensing limits, bypass activation, misuse the app, or use it unlawfully. After termination, stop using PDF-MD and delete unauthorized copies.
